Øyvind Rimbereid

Øyvind Rimbereid is an author and a poet. His ouevre - so far - is about to establish him as one of Norway's most important contemporary writers. His work «Solaris korrigert» has been included in the Norwegian literary canon, a list of Norways 25 most important works. Last year he was nominated for the Nordic Council Literature Prize for his poetry collection «Herbarium» (2008), and won the Brage Prize in open class for 2008. The jury stated that: "... the collection demonstrates Rimbereid's unique ability to extend and customise traditional methods, while ceaselessly challenging and renewing his own poetic expression. Thus Rimbereid, in language as well as in form and content, has an unusually large register on which to play." NB! This reading is in Norwegian.
